Can I use WordPress to make a website?

Posted on 27 May 2012 by Jayson in Website, WordPress

This is one of the most frequently asked questions, “Can I use WordPress to create my new website?”

WordPress is well-known in the blogging sphere, but if used correctly this extremely powerful and very versatile Content Management System can help you create a new, easy to manage website – you will be able to create a simple website within a few hours.

WordPress #1 for Small Business Websites

WordPress #1 for Small Business Websites

WordPress has a proven track record, is very reliable and is constantly being updated.  You can add extra functionality to your website using the 1000′s of plugins that are available – these include shopping carts, photo galleries, frequently asked question  and event management  to list but a few.

WordPress is being chosen by small businesses and non-profit organisations across the globe as their new website platform for various reasons including:

  • Ease of use – adding content to pages and news / blog posts
  • Highly customisable
  • Search engine friendly

If you are looking for an affordable website solution that will allow you to continuously develop your website with new features, change the overall appearance without having to rewrite the entire website whilst retaining full control and not having to learn any coding then the solution is WordPress!

WordPress never ceases to impress our clients when we demonstrate how easy it is to use, its extensive list of available plugins – but what really grabs their attention is the cost of implementing a WordPress solution compared to a bespoke website, that quite often is totally reliant on the service providers hosting.

So just to summarise, in answer to the original question, “Can I use WordPress to create my new website?” The answer to a definite YES – in fact we highly recommend this as it will provide you with a very cost-effective solution, which can be developed as your requirements change.

I created a new website in less than two days using wordpress! That included learning about the platform itself. Now I find it easy to keep adding news articles and it is much easier than my original static website to maintain. Check out http://www.cliveelsdon.co.uk to see the new site.
