With very little prior knowledge of Google Analytics, I attended The Social Media Consultancy Limited’s half day Google Analytics (the Basics) for Small Business Owners training course presented by Jayson Gurney.

At the end of the half day session I left understanding how to load it on to a website, how to use it to analyse the demographics of visitors to the site and able to tell what sort of device, browser  and operating system had been used.  Alongside the other useful information I learnt,  I am now able to use Google Analytics to track a planned marketing campaign and to examine the path visitors take through the pages of a website, from when they arrive, to where they depart, a very useful tool.
