Frequently asked questions about WordPress maintenance
HOW DO I CLAIM THE FREE MONTH(S)?
Once you sign-up to our WordPress maintenance plan subscription service you will automatically receive the appropriate free grace period, after which your subscription will start and continue until canceled.
WHEN WILL I BE BILLED?
You will be automatically billed after your free trial period has ended.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We used GoCardless direct debit payments for all our WordPress maintenance plans.
CAN I CANCEL ANYTIME?
Whilst in your trial period, you are able to cancel at any time. Once your paid subscription has started you are required to provide us with 30 days’ notice.
DOES THIS INCLUDE UPDATING MY WEBSITE CONTENT?
Only our Gold WordPress maintenance plan includes 30-minutes of content updates each month.
DO I HAVE TO USE YOUR WORDPRESS HOSTING?
Absolutely not, as long as we can install our maintenance plugin we are able to monitor and manage your WordPress website. However, when combined with our hosting we are able to perform additional tasks easier and faster.

As I do some of my own website maintenance, I asked The Social Media Consultancy Ltd to come up with a bespoke maintenance plan that suited me. This covers hosting plus some regular maintenance including updates and security without me paying for the things I want to do myself. The cost is reasonable but importantly when I do want to add one-off extras in they are done quickly and at a price that isn’t eye-watering.
